Jamie Taylor-Mills was born in Hertfordshire, England to Carolyn (Mills), and Robert Taylor, MD of a construction company. He has one older sister and he is of English, Irish and Scandinavian descent. Jamie began theatre training at the age of six attending Top Hat Stage School in Hertfordshire. As a schoolboy, he performed in a number of plays such as Peter Pan, The Hobbit and Oliver Twist. He was educated at Bryanston School in Dorset, where he took A-Levels in Economics, Politics and History. Shortly after enrolling at Goldsmiths, University of London Jamie began taking professional acting classes in the city, he trained also for a month in Los Angeles, CA. Upon returning he performed a live showcase of Anthony Neilson's The Lying Kind at The Courtyard Theatre in the London borough of Hackney. He has worked also with Friends star David Scwhimmer and Jennie Buckman (Former Head of Acting at RADA) on Mike Bartlett's An Intervention playing the character of 'B.' In the summer of 2015 Jamie enrolled to study at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City on the One Year Conservatory Programme. It was in New York that he made his Off-Off Broadway debut playing the role of Vic in a production of Stephen Adly Guirgis's Our Lady of 121st Street.
