Margherita Peluso is an Italian bilingual performer born in Milan (Italy). She trained in Commedia dell'Arte and physical theatre at the International Lecoq School of Kuniaki Ida. Margherita joined in 2012 Make A Scene an Educational Theatre Company based in Australia and has performed in Commedia dell'Arte shows and most recently "The Devil wears Pashmina and you?" and "Le Beatrici" by Stefano Benni. She has also studied with Emma Dante and Mamadou Dioum of the Peter Brook ensemble and later in Los Angeles at the Gloria Gifford Conservatory where she featured as 'Serafina' in The Rose Tattoo. Margherita arrived in Australia in 2012 and performed in Luigi Pirandello's Cap and Bells at La Mama and The Restoration of Adelaide Ristori (La Mama Explorations, directed by Laurence Strangio). In 2013 she was the lead in La Morsa / Cece' for Commeartefo'(directed by Mimmo Mangione) as well as regular appearances with the Lloyd Jones ensemble at La Mama. Margherita has appeared in Italian television BSI and 'Mia moglie a letto con il mil amico' (RAI Due Milano) and the film, 'Un amore di strega' (directed by Angelo Longoni, Mediaset Canale 5). Most recently she starred in the VCA Graduate film, 'Blood Trust' (by Alberto Di Troia ) where she has been nominated as Best Actress at The Melbourne Underground Film Festival and also part of "Dances with Films" in L.A. and NYC Independent Film Festival. In 2014 she performed in a translation of La Medea / Lo Strupo by Franca Rama and Dario Fo at La Mama Courthouse. Part of NYC "In Scena" Festival with her new translation of Le Bestrici in collaboration With Laurence Strangio and Stefano Benni. Margherita works between Australia , NYC and Italy.
