What began for Conway K in the B Boy "Break Dance" scene in the mid 80's, to his musical career starting in the golden era of Hip Hop the mid 90's, has now seeped throughout the musical and cultural phenomenon that is today's hip hop. All the while, Conway K has remained a musical and cultural force, and a significant, relevant artist still churning out Award Winning Albums. First introduced to the world as "red power" in 1996 with his first 4 song ep, to joining the group "New Breed" the same year and releasing one of the Hip Hop worlds very first All Aboriginal Rap Group CD's titled "life's Journey", Conway K has always been a trailblazer as a Aboriginal Hip Hop artist. In 1998 Conway K started the very first all Aboriginal performing group to combine, Pow Wow dancing with the street cultural expression of B Boying and Emceeing, this group is called the Red Power Squad. Now in there 15th year the Red Power Squad has broken ground and set the bar for Aboriginal Performing groups across North America, with countless performances, television appearances, news paper and magazine articles and covers, USA Today simply states the Red Power Squad is "enjoyable and engaging". The Red Power squad gave birth to some of the Aboriginal worlds top performers today, performers such as Angela Gladue "recipient of northlands 2008 emerging artist award", James Jones "2008 so you think you can dance top 50 finalist", and world renowned DJ Creeasian who founded the widely popular group "phreshly squeezed". As an Entertainer Conway K has succeeded in crossing into multiple mediums, already a talented Hip Hop artist with 5 full length albums, Numerous Music Award Nominations, and 2008 aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Award Winner for best Hip Hop CD, Conway K continues to display a wide range of talents in his projects that reflect his Drug and Alcohol free lifestyle. A Champion Men's Grass Dancer, Conway K was chosen by Universal Studio's Theme parks to be a part of the World Renound Eagle Feather Dance Troup which performed in Spain for 8 months, Italy and South Korea. Conway K release his upcoming 6th album titled "Thundercloud" in 2014, and was named a National Ambassador for Say Magazine, and who can forget the YouTube Music Video Classic "What's Really Rez". As a Actor, Conway is currently a part of the Aboriginal Cast for the Leonardo Dicaprio Movie "The Revanant" Directed by Oscar Nominated Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. Conway also landed a lead role as "george" in the Georgina Lightning Film "Fantasies Of Flying" and a small part in the NEW Romatic Comedy "40 bellow and Falling" as Byron the teacher, all set to release this year (2015).
