American born and raised -- writer, director, producer, John Michael Nolan graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY in 2004 with an English degree and a Theater minor. While studying there, Mike wrote, directed and produced a trilogy of plays. The first was staged in the Fall of 2001, the second in the Fall of 2002 and the third in the Winter of 2004. The plays were received extremely well by the student body, focusing on religion, love and the inner working of the creative mind. With no film major at the time at Hobart College, Mike branched out and during the Spring of 2002 and 2003, studied screenwriting abroad in Los Angeles. At one point, Mike interned for Roger Corman's production company where he read various scripts, mainly in the Horror genre. He described the experience as invaluable. After college, Mike returned to Los Angeles and continued his study of screenwriting at UCLA, where he earned two degrees in the subject. Professional and Advanced Professional. Since graduating from UCLA in March of 2008, Mike has written drafts of sequels for studios in Hollywood and over a dozen original scripts of his own. He lives in Buffalo, New York and "Loyal to the Game" is his debut film.
