Eddie Maldonado

Eddie was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona by parents Edward and Elizabeth Maldonado. Eddie is the eldest of three children, siblings: Nico and Alyssa Maldonado. Performing from a young age, Eddie has been in the TV/Commercial and Theatre industries practically his entire life. Growing up Eddie participated at Valley Youth Theatre in Arizona, known for talents such as Emma Stone, Jordin Sparks, Max Crumm, and Kimiko Glenn. At VYT Eddie started realize and nurture his dreams of performing on the Great White Way. Eddie later attend Arizona State University, where he studied Vocal Performance and Musical Theatre under the vocal guidance of David Britton, an established worldly performer and professor at the University. Eddie went on to perform across the country in Regional theatre's and eventually ended back at the Arizona Broadway Theatre, a premiere Dinner Theatre in Peoria, AZ, and at Phoenix Theatre, the Equity Theatre in Downtown Phoenix. After garnering a handful of AriZoni Nominations and Wins for Best Actor in a professional production, Eddie set his sights on New York. Upon transplanting from the valley of the sun, Eddie booked the Disney Cruise Line were he sailed and performed the vocal role of Simba in The Golden Mickey's for 7 months at sea. Once he returned to NYC, Eddie teamed up with Michael Rodriguez of The Roster Agency in NY, and began transitioning back into more Television and Film. Eddie immediately started to work on Short Independent Films in New York and even made his Netflix debut in March 2015 on Tina Fey's "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" starring Ellie Kemper, best known for her work on Bridesmaids, 21 Jump Street, and The Office. After wrapping "Kimmy Schmidt" Eddie went on to book a Lead role in writers Joey Donelly and Michael Barattini's New York drama "In Pursuit", and landed the iconic role of Ritchie Valens (best known for his hit song "La Bamba") in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story 2015 US National Tour.
