Michael Anthony Perez is of Mexican descent and was born and raised in East Los Angeles, parents owned and operated tow truck and auto dismantle business, the oldest of three brothers and one sister. He was raised in a part of the city known as Maravilla, its home to one of the city's largest and oldest Mexican community. His criminal lifestyle led him in and out of jail since youth; His criminal actions eventually earned him a lengthy sentence in federal prison. While serving his last year of his prison sentence, MTV3's "Quiero mi quince" based a reality episode off of his daughter, which Michael was involved in while incarcerated. This exposed his life and family struggle to the Hispanic community. This was his first introduction to Hollywood but didn't think much of it. While struggling to re-enter the community a friend introduced him to working as an extra on films and Television for a way to make ends meet. He soon became interested in acting when he seen the similarities it had with his old lifestyle giving him a strange comfort. He discovered a passion and talent for acting, and the industry as a whole. Since his release he's written a TV pilot, consulted and script supervised on films and has been in a number of TV shows and movies, such as Exodus of The Prodigal Son, Hold On and the TV series Chance working alongside such stars as Eric Roberts and Hugh Laurie.
