Kevin Herbert Slone was born on September 13, 1992 in Akron, Ohio to Sheryl Slone, an EPA engineer, and Herbert Slone, an architect. He has one older sister Kimberly. Kevin became interested in acting during his days at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent, Ohio where he was often selected by his English teacher to read for the lead part in class plays. Kevin was also an accomplished football player in high school garnering all-conference honors and interest from several small colleges. Kevin's acting career began in the summer of 2012 when his father encouraged him to attend an open audition for the high school football film Underdogs (2013) which happened to be filming in nearby Canton, Ohio. It was at this audition where Kevin's "tough" appearance and athletic experience caught the eye of the casting director who decided to cast him as a player on the antagonist team. Although the movie had limited distribution, it received favorable reviews at many film festivals nationwide and has enjoyed a substantial run through online streaming media. Building on his first acting experience, Kevin began to attend open casting calls regularly. While attending college as an accounting major at Kent State University and working part time as a bus driver, he managed to land an uncredited appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014). In the summer of 2014, he decided to quit his part time job and pursue casting opportunities full time. During this period, he managed to land small parts in 3 major films including Southpaw (2015), Concussion (2015), and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
