Ludi Simões

Author, Writer, Director and musician, began his artistic career in the theater in 1979, performing in the National Brasilia and Dulcina Theatres in shows like "Porgy and Bess" and "Navalha na Carne". In 1993, he had one of his plays ("Enquanto Mamãe não Vem") selected for the dramatized readings Cycle promoted by SBAT, under the direction of José Renato. He wrote and directed the comedy show "O Sabonete", debuting in the Teatro America (RJ) and traveling through several cities, staying for more than a year in theaters. In 2001, he wrote to the Cia de Teatro Farsacena, award-winning musical show "From Cinderella to Rapunzel - The story you ever saw." He participated in projects in the Roberto Marinho Foundation, as the show celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Retiro dos Artistas. This show turned into a DVD produced by Multishow Channel. He worked at Rede Globo, in programs such as "Você Decide", working with directors like Herval Rossano and Régis Cardoso. He created and directed advertising scripts, and was responsible for the first commercial broadcast by TV Band in its inauguration in Brasilia. Migrated to the cinema in 2008. In 2013, he directed "Quarto 13", a series of eleven short films. Recently directed in Santa Catarina the short films "Pra você, Eu Guardei", "Crônicos" and "Em Cinco Atos", which are being assembled. "Por Trás das Grades" will be the debut of director on feature films in 2015. For the same year, already has scheduled a pre-production on his second feature film, "Rosamor".
