Cam McHutchison was raised in Durham, North Carolina. He is known for directing the first American feature film to fully shoot on location in Honduras, Catrachos and Kings. His mother is from Louisiana, and his father is from Australia. In college Cam originally planned on studying Physics, but decided to study film and cinematography at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington instead. Before graduating, Cam was the sole recipient of the 2016 Film Excellence award at UNCW. During their final year at UNCW, Cam and his roommate Nik Aufderhar wrote the script for 'Catrachos and Kings', a contemporary western set in a dirt road town in Central America. Completely self funded and only two weeks after graduating, they took a skeleton crew down to Olanchito, Honduras to start filming. In 2018/2019 Cam won 'Best First Time Feature' at Mexico International Film Festival for Catrachos and Kings. Cam now lives in Los Angeles.
