American filmmaker born in 1990 from Atlantic City, New Jersey and resides in New York, NY. Originally of Albanian descent, Kreshnik studied film at Lynn University in Florida where he was introduced to documentary filmmaking and received his masters in film. While at university he directed short form documentaries following President Obama's 2012 campaign as his university hosted a presidential debate. He began his filmmaking career at the age of 22 at NFL Films, where he worked on numerous sports documentaries such as "The Will to Win" which premiered on ABC. "Hey Rookie, welcome to the NFL" and "Finding Giants" that aired on ESPN. He also was nominated for an Emmy award in 2015 for the documentary series entitled "A Football Life" that aired on NFL Network. His first feature directorial debut was in 2018 with "Triumph" which shows the political tension of war and history following the Albanian national football team and their road to their first ever qualification into a major tournament. The film premiered at Warsaw Film Festival and attended other festivals such as DocsMX, AmDocs, Fajr Film Festival and also won the audience award at Dokufest Film Festival. It was released on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video in May 2020. His second feature documentary follows Mikel (22) who has recently been deported from the USA to Albania. The film is supported by the Icelandic Film Center. His third feature documentary follows Lee Merritt and his legal team behind the scenes as they fight for social justice.
