Born in Sarasota, Florida, Cole Murray was an avid athlete in high school. He was a varsity wrestler and received a scholarship to wrestle at the NCAA DII level in college. While in college at University of North Carolina - Pembroke, Cole began pursuing his love of theater and acting. It was in college that he realized that acting was his passion, and changed his major to theater his sophomore year. During his sophomore year in college, Cole starred in a short film called "Tantibus," which was entered into the Campus MovieFest competition. The film won a jury award for best short film and Cole won Best Actor for his role in the film. While in college, Cole performed in the play "Middletown" by Will Eno and directed by his acting professor, Holden Hansen. Cole has also been involved in his local community theater, including roles in "Jesus Christ Superstar," "The Diary of Anne Frank," and "The Flying Dutchman." In addition to theater, Cole featured in the web series "Tulku Dorje - Ep. 9" and the feature film "Whiskey and the Firecracker."
