Fred Kalulanga

Fred Kalulanga is a director, playwright and actor, born in Uganda, raised in Sweden. He studied method acting in London and Stockholm and has a career with an impressive portfolio of diverse and powerful leading roles on stage. In the stage adaption of the horror play The woman in black Fred played one of the leading roles in such a mesmerizing way the audience was scared of the darkness weeks after the show. The critic from the newspaper Kvällsposten-Expressen liked Freds production so much he actually flew to London to see the West End production. And in the dark stage-play Handdukseffekten Fred captivated the audiences with small subtle nuances and authenticity as a playwright and also as the brutal but loving boyfriend character Jack, alongside his co-star. His outstanding acting skills and good writing had the production forced to have a behavioral scientists for the audiences to talk to after the show. Fred Kalulanga developed a love for acting at the age of 19 by luck. A musical producer in Växjö had heard a kind of false rumor that Fred could sing and called him to audition for the character Hud Johnsson in the Musical Hair. The hippie Hud Johnsson in Hair was Freds first professional acting role. Fred stays in shape, has a healthy lifestyle with a strong body always at its peak. Always living after the saying Preparation, prevents, poor performance. Hard work and consistency is what brought him this far. He is fluent in a general American accent and Swedish with various accents.
