Devnaka Porage, born on 17 December 1997, is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema and television. Devnaka is the only child of the family and his parents are Dr. Damenda Porage and Dr. Shermila Milroy, both are educationists by profession. Devnaka completed his secondary school education at Lyceum International School Nugegoda, Sri Lanka and followed an LLB degree at Buckinghamshire New University. Devnaka is a celebrated alumni of Lyceum Sri Lanka having won the school colours in 2014 for his outstanding performance in cultural dancing, drama and sports karate. He resides in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte Sri Lanka. Devnaka made his cinema debut in 2008 appearing as 'Podda', a lead role in Sirimal Wijesinghe's Pitasakwala Kumarayai Pencho Hathai , the lead role in the shortfilm May 20th and as young Joseph Vaz in Sanjey Nirmal's docudrama Juse Vaz (2010). In 2019, Devnaka Porage earned the award for the best upcoming actor of the year at both Lux Derana film awards and the Presidential Film Award Festival for his tremendous performance in the lead role 'Sandares' of Jyantha Chandrasiri's movie classic 'Gharasarapa' that won the best film award in 2019. In the same year he was also nominated as the 'Best Actor' at the SIGNIS International Film Awards becoming one of the most talked about actors in Sri Lanka. In 2008, Devnaka made his first TV appearance on a very popular TV series, Sunil Costa's Sihina Wasanthayak doing the childhood of the lead role 'Nirmal'. Since then he has continued his contribution to television audiences doing lead roles in Ganga Addara 2009, Gehenu Lamayi (2009), Bharyawo (2012), Siddhartha Gauthama (2018) and Ahas Maliga (2019)
