Reen Vogel

The youngest of seven children, Reen Vogel was raised in a small town in Wisconsin. Her acting passion began with High School plays, but she got the 'business' bug, and after graduating from the University of WI-Madison, she enjoyed a 10 year career in advertising. After having children, Reen became a stay at home mom. It was then that she was able to pursue her entertainment passion as a volunteer. Reen co-founded and was the Managing/Artistic Director for Contra Costa Christian Theatre in San Francisco's East Bay--an award winning, faith based community theatre. In 2005, she won a Shellie Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts. After her family moved east, she then served as a High School Drama Director for a couple of years, and loved working with teens. In 2014, with her youngest heading off to college, Reen began a full time career as an on-camera actor and voice actor. Some of her favorite moments so far are: In 2019, she played Dr. Lynn Harris opposite Clarence Gilyard Jr. ("Die Hard", "Walker, Texas Ranger", "Matlock") in the feature film, "The Perfect Race." Reen played opposite Haley Lu Richardson ("Five Feet Apart", "Split", "Edge of Seventeen") in the independent feature film, "Columbus", which garnered rave reviews at the January 2017 Sundance Film Festival. It was directed by Kogonada and starred Haley Lu Richardson, John Cho ("Star Trek", "Harold and Kumar", "Searching"), and Parker Posey ("The Good Wife", "Boston Legal"). She also received a Best Actress nomination for her work as Detective Sharon Carson, in the 2016 48 Hr Film Project Competition short film, "Missed Call", by Strong Will Entertainment. "Missed Call" received 11 award nominations and received 2 awards. In addition to on-camera work, Reen also enjoys being a voice actor. She played Mother Theresa in an episode of the "Mr. Phil Show," has been the voice for the Chiari and Syringomyelia Foundation's "Key's for a Cure" campaign, and for Mars Pet Care. She has also provided voices for several films, various commercials, corporate narration clients, and audio books. Reen and her husband reside in the Nashville, TN area.
