Theora Moench

Theora Moench is an American actress living in Portland, Oregon. She grew up on a small island in the Puget Sound near Seattle, Washington where she was born. Her father, Thomas Moench, a microbiologist and business consultant grew up in New Jersey while her mother, Ann Chadwick, was a rehabilitation nurse born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Theora began performing at the young age of 4-years-old and has continued to enjoy creating music in many different formats ever since. Theora expanded into theater starting in high school and continued to enjoy performing on stage acting into college. After graduating in 2011 from Lewis & Clark College with a B.A. in Hispanic Studies, she spent the next couple years working both domestically and abroad for community development non-profit organizations. In 2013 she discovered the voracious and delightful world of improvisational theater. Since then she has enthusiastically immersed herself in exploring and developing her craft. She is best known for her work with Portland's all-female filmmaking group, the Couch Collective, where she works with an insatiable, ambitious, and astoundingly collaborative team of inspiring women. Theora can be found acting in several independent film projects coming out of the Portland film community and has produced some narrative film pieces of her own invention.
