Daniel Guerra was born in 1992 in the city of Niteroi, Brazil. He began his film studies at the New Zealand Film Academy in 2011 in Auckland, New Zealand. Later then he graduated in Film, Media & TV studies at PUC-Rio in 2015 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Daniel worked at Tambellini Filmes for over 3 years as assistant to legendary Brazilian film producer and director Flavio Ramos Tambellini. Daniel's first work as a director was "Budo" a short documentary about samurai philosophy that was awarded twice for best script in Brazil and awarded as Best Student Documentary at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards in Hollywood, CA. He now lives in Auckland with his wife Marianna.
