Born in Petersburg, Virginia on July 10, 1955, Betty began ballet classes at four, and continued with point, tap, jazz, modern, baton, and acrobatics though high school. She attended the Colorado Concern Ballet's School of Dance after college, and practices daily. Teaching tap and jazz to elementary school students became part of her voluntary work in the Triad area of North Carolina. Aerobic dance became her passion, and her choreography was unique. Betty began taking piano lessons at seven for eight years, continuing to play throughout her life. She began singing in the church junior choir, and went on to join the Glee Club in high school. High school allowed her to combine her talents, and perform in three high school musicals as a dancer, in the chorus, solo, and as Mrs. Bascomb in Carousel. Betty has recently been actively pursuing acting roles in the Triad are, having been chosen as an extra in "The Longest Ride," and auditioned for two roles in 4th year student films at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where she was chosen as "Rhonda" in "Folds," and "Aunt Shelley" in "Looking Good," in production in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
