Born September 6, 1972, in Sydney, Australia, Selena Scott and her sister were raised in Sydney's leafy upper class north shore area. Selena attended Monte Sant Angelo Mercy College, a private Catholic girls high school. Her mother was an English and drama teacher, and an accomplished classical musician having attended the elite Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Her father was the director of his own plumbing company. Selena caught the acting bug as a young child. She went on to develop her dramatic skills at Screenwise Film and Television School, Sydney. Selena later moved to the United States where she commenced further studies in documentary film making at the University of Southern California (USC). It was there that Selena fell in love with directing and producing. As luck would have it, she crossed paths with USC professor and critically acclaimed cinematographer Erick Yates Green who offered her an unpaid internship and a promise to teach her everything he knew about filming. Selena holds a B.A. from Charles Sturt University, and maintains her love of art, music, drama, and comedy come from her Irish/Scottish heritage and upbringing.
