Born Gabriela Garza Lecea on June 7, 1970 in the city of Monterrey, Mexico to Ruben Garza, auto parts importer and Myrna Lecea, homemaker. She is the fifth of six children. By the age of 7 she already knew she wanted to become a professional actress. Gabby participated highly in sports, she played softball, basketball and volleyball, was a member of every single glee club and of coarse, drama club, taking the stage every opportunity possible. She was very active in the theatre community and sports. After high school, she was admitted to Theatre School of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon, afterwards took modeling classes at John Robert Powers School of Denver. She later enrolled at The Actor's Scene, based out of Buford, Georgia, where she had to learn how to perform for TV and Film. She confessed having a hard time bringing down the theatre volume needed for on-camera performance, but after much practice and taking direction well, she managed. At The Actor's Scene, she received training by renowned Casting Director Barry Shapiro and Talent Agent Joy Pervis. Since then, she's booked industrial videos, documentary films, internet videos, commercials, has dubbed a movie from Spanish to English and landed a contract with GMVoices, who baptized her voice as "Penelope". Gabby's voice Penelope can also be heard in numerous call recordings throughout some large USA corporations when choosing prompts in Spanish, as well as TTS software. She is a native speaker to both American English and Neutral Spanish. She is managed by Stephanie K. Ripstein.
