Cedric Gegel is a screenwriter, director, and stage and film actor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was raised in Wapakoneta, Ohio and graduated from Wapakoneta High School in 2013 and from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 2017 with his Bachelor's of Arts in Communications with Emphasis in Theatre Studies and Public Relations. He began acting in student films in college and eventually transitioned into full-time professional work. In 2016, Cedric was cast in the indie science fiction feature film "Programmed Series: Aznek" as one of the leads and in the indie comedy "A Murder Party" with a major featured role. Cedric returned to his character in "A Murder Party" with the upcoming series "The Coroner's Assistant," based on his character. Cedric wrote and directed the fantasy feature film "Cadia: The World Within", starring Corbin Bernsen and James Phelps, which was released in September 2020 on Amazon Prime and Vudu. Cedric is a cancer survivor. He has also spoken publicly about mental health and his faith, and has been invited to speak at youth conferences and thespian workshops, where he discusses acting theory in practice and the filmmaking process. In the summer of 2019, Cedric moved to Philadelphia with his wife and began working there and in New York City. Although he is based on the east coast, he travels for projects frequently.
