Fabric is a documentary series that chronicles the stories of a group of athletes, artists, and advocates for whom sport is the vehicle, not the destination. A first-of-its-kind documentary series chronicling the lives of an elite group of female athletes, artists, and activists across snowboarding, surfing, and skateboarding, Fabric is the story of connection to place, people, and pursuit. In five episodes centered on the topics of Knowledge, Connection, Activism, Cultural Heritage, and Community, this group of groundbreaking women use sport as the vehicle, not the destination, and purpose as the fabric that binds them. The brainchild of Canadian big-mountain snowboarder Robin Van Gyn -- star of such films as Travis Rice's Depth Perception and Full Moon Film -- Fabric sets out to break tradition in the action sports filmmaking by making its own -- through narrative, world-class action footage, and candid insights into real-world issues. The series stars long list of influential women, including but not limited to, Paige Alms, Izzi Gomez, Leah Dawson, Sanoa Olin, Textured Waves, Mainei Kinimaka and Hanna Scott in surf; Estelle Pensiero, Robin Van Gyn, Jessa Gilbert, Marie France Roy, Irie Smith, Spencer O'Brien, Leanne Pelosi in Snow; and Kristen Ebeling, Juliette Pelchat, and Hannah Eddy in Skate. Debuting fall 2021, Fabric captures a level of talent, athleticism, and grit seldom seen in men's or women's action sports, and highlights the ways in which individual experiences are more connective than we can ever imagine. Once a semi-professional snowboarder, Olliver moved to Los Angeles and received her MBA at Pepperdine University. She built her business after the success of launching the Street League Skateboarding brand in 2010 with serial entrepreneur Rob Dyrdek and creating both the Event Marketing and Snow Partnership programs at Fox Sports/FUEL TV. Olliver is a proud Bostonian and enjoys hiking in the backcountry with her snowboard, pit bulls and family. She resides in Los Angeles and calls Mt Hood, Big Bear and Brighton Resort her home mountains.
