Tall, statuesque Megan Anderson made her fighting debut in mixed martial arts in 2013. After sustaining her first defeat, she improved her record over the next two years. Prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships, she held a 4-1 win-loss record. Fighting out of Lee Summit, Kansas, she made her Invicta FC debut on September 12, 2015 at Invicta FC 14, where she was defeated by Cindy Dandois by submission. On January 16, 2016, Anderson defeated Amber Leibrock by technical knockout (TKO). On May 7, 2016, Anderson fought at Invicta FC 17 where she defeated Amanda Bell by TKO. On July 29, 2016 at Invicta FC 18, Anderson defeated Peggy Morgan by TKO. On January 14, 2017 at Invicta FC 21, Anderson defeated Charmaine Tweet to become the Interim Invicta FC Featherweight Champion.
