Michael E. Berg

Michael E. Berg is an award-winning writer, director, and producer known for the short films Ghost of a Chance (2016) and S3RIAL (2018). His initial experience with filmmaking began as a background extra for two days on the set of Janie Jones (2010). His short films have played in local, national and international venues. Michael creates from the heartland and has a goal to see one of his feature scripts produced with him directing. His feature screenplays have achieved recognition in both the PAGE Awards and Script Pipeline screenwriting contests along with being published as script-books by 120pages. Now that S3RIAL has finished its festival circuit run, Michael actively studies to be a better director and is searching for new opportunities to practice that discipline. Michael has a passion for being on set and collaborating with others. He hopes to direct at least one feature in the near future. While he waits out the pandemic, Michael is slowly gearing up towards production on a new noir-comedy project called Counterfeit. This will be his final self-produced short film.
