Sadie Duarte is a Spanish film director, producer, writer/screenwriter, translator, teacher and freelance journalist who has won 11 literary and academic awards. She holds a BA in English Studies, an MA in Hollywood and British Cinema and a Master in Cinematographic Direction and Production of TV Shows. Years ago, Sadie Duarte wrote her first screenplay titled Bluebell Valley and while working as an extra for a comic TV show in Spain, had a fiction novel for YA published: "Alas para Soñar" (Wings to Dream).In 2013, Libros Certeza published Sadie's second novel for YA, Souls of Fire (Almas De Fuego) in English and Spanish, an illustrated fantasy novel designed and created by herself. Later on that year, Sadie also translated into Spanish author Ia Uaro's novel Sydney's Song (La Canción De Sydney). Working as a teacher, translator and freelance journalist, Sadie Duarte has written reviews, articles and interviews for several magazines like Punk Globe in Los Angeles (USA) and FilmArte in Spain. DMus (2015) is Sadie Duarte's first short musical film as a screenwriter, producer and director, a promotional movie to promote independent artists which, apart from having some private screenings in Madrid and Zaragoza (Spain), was recently selected and screened at the Kastav Film Festival in Croatia.
