Dr. Scott Viguie was born in San Francisco, California. As a young child he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and he became one of the first to undergo surgeries that would eventually enable him to walk. That only paved the way for Scott to overcome bigger challenges including joining an acting group, taking up collegiate sports, and eventually becoming the captain of the U.C. Davis fencing team. Scott went on to earn two doctorate degrees and worked as both an attorney and an archaeologist. Scott felt a call, though, to fulfill his true passion for educating others and particularly rekindling an interest in the sciences. He created a radio show, Doctor Geek's Laboratory of Applied Geekdom. It was a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) outreach show which blended real science with science fiction. In addition to writing the episodes he also voiced the character of Doctor Geek. With his wife, Debbie, Scott went on to create Brazen Wench Productions, a production company focusing on science fiction, fantasy, horror and mystery projects. Scott is now working on bringing his Doctor Geek character to life for the visual medium.
