Emmett Chapman is an all-round performer and artist. He was born in London, England He was raised in Essex. Emmett started out as a student at Stagecoach Theatre Arts School in Colchester, Essex where he strengthened his stage skills. During his three year education, he was offered various outside performing opportunities, often to represent the school. In 2000, his first respectable on-stage role was as the Eldest Snow Child in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel in Southend-on-sea, Essex. Leading roles included Darren Day (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0206372/) as Billy Bigelow and Sam Kane as Jigger Craig. The production was choreographed by Wayne Sleep. In 2001, Stagecoach joined with other schools to perform at Her Majesty's Theatre in London for The Young Performer's Variety Show and Emmett was cast for dancing and acting roles. 2002 was the year of The Queen's Golden Jubilee; Emmett performed live alongside his fellow students in Trafalgar Square for the public before escorting The Queen along The Mall to Buckingham Palace in 'The Gold Rush'. Later that year, Emmett was selected among the few to represent Stagecoach, Colchester as a gospel singer at The Royal Albert Hall for 'Reaching Out For Africa'. The program featured Sir Cliff Richard, Gabrielle, Uri Geller, Rik Waller, DHOL Foundation, Boney M, Cliff Nash, other famous soloists and a cornucopia of Celebrities and Stars from the World of Dance, Pop Music, West End Theatre, Variety and Acting and the World famous African Children's Choir. The exciting dance section of the evening was a thrilling African dance presentation performed by Patti Boulaye's SUN DANCE world touring Dance and Drum show and other thrilling dancers. There was also a "discovery" section featuring little known African musical instruments played by virtuoso performers. Emmett then followed on his education at Braintree College, Braintree, Essex to study BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts in 2002, leaving in 2004. Throughout his life, Emmett has participated in various styles of creative work, such as singing, dancing, acting and modeling, also producing his first full piece of written fiction in 2014, 'The Way Back'. Since then, he has continued as an author and his new book is in production (2016). Emmett continues to attend auditions for acting work whilst also piecing together several ideas of his own short films.
