Steve Porter

Steve Porter is a DJ, composer, and media mash-up producer. He was born in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1978 and attended The Williston Northampton School. In 1999, while still in school, Porter was discovered by Chris Fortier and signed to his label, Fade Records. After working as a professional DJ for several years, Porter began to gain notoriety as a viral video producer, starting with his remix of the Slap Chop infomercial, which has become highly rated on YouTube. Porter continued to make media remixes and soon began receiving commissions for remixes from companies such as ABC, E!, VH1, and Nickelodeon. In 2009, Porter established PorterHouse Media, a media production company that operates in Holyoke, Massachusetts. PorterHouse Media continues to create media remixes and has spawned several offshoots, including an independent record label.
