Rishi Das

Born in Calcutta, the political and cultural capital of the state of West Bengal in India, Rishi Das, hailing from a 21-year theater experience, has achieved a fair amount of performing success in diverse productions including professional stage, Hollywood releases, music videos and a variety of creative short films. Awards and recognition have come Rishi's way for his involvement in 'Julia' which won multiple awards, 'Deceased' starring Rishi as lead actor was officially selected for film festivals worldwide including a specially requested screening at Lincoln University, New Zealand. It was also featured in various newspapers worldwide, bestowing critical acclaim to his contribution to the success of the film. In 2018, Rishi directed a the Broadway Musical 'Billy Elliot' in Bangalore, India which was a massive success and ran for ten shows over five days with 2 separate casts of 400+ actors/dancers each. His upcoming box office film 'REGIONRAT' directed by Javier Reyna is to be released on March 5th, 2019 where he is one of the lead cast members playing the role of 'Ricky'. Rishi loves to experiment with diverse mediums of expression, multiple languages and believes that there is no limit to creative expression.
