Evelyn Spahr

Born and Raised in the Bronx, Evelyn is Half Ecuadorian (her mother's maiden name is Ochoa) / Full New Yorker and speaks fluent Spanish. She attended a private all-girls high school on Madison Avenue, which gave her a rare glimpse into the world of the upper crust and elite. Because of this fantastic exposure, she feels as much at home at an Upper East Side Cocktail Party as she does A Hispanic Baby Shower blasting Bachata in Elmhurst, Queens. Coax her into telling you the truth and she'll confess: the Bachata Queens Parties are always much more fun. Her characters don't always come from the same social backgrounds but they, like Evelyn, usually have one truth in common: they are supportive and loving, but when push comes to shove, they (and she) tell it like it is. She's been likened to Robin Weigert, Leah Rimini, and, her personal hero Fran Drescher. Education: NYU/ Stella Adler Studio BFA Acting
