Actor, Producer and Casting Director Ahmed Samy was born in Cairo 1987. As an actor, Samy landed roles in many projects including the film Al Mosafer (The Traveler, 2009) by Ahmed Maher, the short film Kol Al Torok To'aid Ela Roma (All Roads Lead to Rome, 2017) by Hassan Saleh and the regional hit, Abo El Arousa (Father of the Bride, 2017) by Kamal Mansour. Additionally, his first project as a film director and screenwriter, the short film titled The Door (2016), won the Second-best Film Award and the Best Screenplay Award in the The Cairo 48 Hour film Project. In 2016-2018, he managed Studio ZAT which specializes in filmmaking workshops and particularly acting. He represented Zat in different international film festivals in Berlin, Venice, Dubai, El Gouna, and Malmo. Ahmed Samy received several awards for theatrical directing, including; Cairo University's Best Stage Director Award in 2011 and the Special Jury Award of 12th Festival dies Jeunes Createurs in 2014. He was also selected by the Institut Français (The French institute in Egypt) to attend the Avignon Festival in France in 2014. He also won the Special Jury Award at the Cairo University Festival of Long Shows for the musical adaptation of the play Amadeus by Peter Shaffer .
