Henrik Friis de Magalhães e Meneses is the CEO of HF Productions and Filmpixs, where he oversees day-to-day operations, a global network of over film festivals, fiction and non-fiction content, and brokers strategic partnerships. With offices in Athens, Jakarta, and New York City, Henrik and his team have established an international slate of projects that center on creating educational value and opportunities for independent filmmakers. Henrik sits on the Jury panel for the United Nations SDG's In Action Film Festival in New York and is a former TEDx speaker. He is the Director of several international film festivals worldwide including Arctic Film Festival, Oslo Film Festival and Santorini Film Festival. As of 2020, he served as the fund-raising-producer of the SXSW winner "Beautiful Something Left Behind" a feature documentary on child bereavement, in partnership with Good Company Pictures, Good Grief Center of New Jersey, and Women Making Movies. The mission for this project is to inform on the conversation and provide educational value to the study and examination of children's developmental health in relation to grief and loss. He also Co-Executive produced "Women of the Gulag", which was shortlisted for an Academy Award at the 91st Oscars. Henrik is mostly known for documenting the war against ISIS in Iraq from 2015-2016. His footage from the front-lines reached more than 1 million viewers and resulted in his award-winning documentary, #UnitedWeWin.
