Award nominated Dominican actor and singer (Actor of the Year 2018 at the Premios Soberano, the most renowned national awards in the Dominican Republic, for his interpretation of the leading role Kin in "Bony and Kin"). Has also played leading roles in the sitcom "Juanita's Gran Salón y Spa" (winner of a Casandra Award for best TV series), the musical "Perfectus Quorum" (winner for Best Musical in the Premios Soberano; his performance received the critical acclaim of the most important journalists of the country), and in the play "La Cuarta Mariposa" in the Dominican Republic. Héctor completed a diploma course in Acting with the acclaimed Dominican teacher, actress, producer, and director María Castillo; as well as one in Performing Arts and another one in Direction. He also studied acting with the late Enrique Chao, Josué Guerrero, and Waddys Jaquez, to name a few. Most recently he graduated from the Summer Conservatory Program at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York, with teachers such as Joe Goscinski (Voice and Speech), Alice Saltzman (Scene Study), and Ian Hersey (Shakespeare). Héctor also performed in musicals like "RENT," in which he played Paul and others; the musical "In the Heights," for which he translated the libretto, worked as assistant director to Waddys Jaquez, and performed backing vocals. Also worked as assistant director to the award winning play "La Residencia," "Banco de Parque," "Pareja Abierta," and "La Otra Orilla." In 2016, Héctor wrote, produced, directed, and played the leading role in the short film "Cordones Necios," which won the award for Best Romantic Comedy - Short at the Mexico International Film Festival; the film was also featured in many others festivals around the world. Héctor can play the guitar and has written many songs; has traveled to countries including Spain, Venezuela, Colombia, and Turkey. He speaks fluent English and Spanish. He also has a passion for cooking and can play tennis on Wii pretty well.
