P.S. Urquidi

P.S. Urquidi is a Mexican-American writer and filmmaker. Born in a small border town in Northern Mexico, he moved with his family to Mexico City when he was less than a year old, where he spent most of his childhood. When he was 12 years old, his family moved to South Bend, Indiana, where he attended Clay High School and graduated as high school Valedictorian. He then attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he graduated with a B.S. in Computer and Electrical Engineering, and then went on to Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, where he earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering. He became a U.S. citizen when he was 21 years old. P.S. Urquidi is a highly technical writer/director with a passion for writing deep and complex characters and stories. He has also served as producer, director of photography, and editor for several short films. Films he has worked on have been official selections in festivals such as the Indie Film Festival, the Los Angeles CineFest, and the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF). For fun, he spends his days researching cool algorithms for computer graphics and computational imaging, and has numerous technical publications in top-tier venues such as the ACM SIGGRAPH conference.
