Stephanie Kelly was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. Since she was little Stephanie has had a love for films. It was when she went to see a film on the big screen she knew that's where she wanted to be. This passion grew into her pursuing an acting career. Stephanie audition and was accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. After just having turned 19 she moved to the Big Apple and trained in theatre. Growing up Stephanie never wanted to be ordinary. She wanted to be extraordinary. By being given the opportunities to play a range of colourful characters she has found this possible. Learning from some of the most renowned acting coaches such as Phyllis Katz from The Groundlings in LA and Elizabeth Kemp who coached Bradly Cooper. Landing multiple roles in short films, Stephanie had the opportunity to star in the short film "Vervain" which was hand selected to be screened at BAM Film Festival in Brooklyn portraying the character "Ivy". She will be starring as "Laura" in her first feature film "Pod". In addition to having a career in front of the camera, Stephanie's acting has allowed her to explore different paths in the industry. She had the privilege to work on the film set of "Danger Close" as Producer's Assistant. The film inspired by the untold Australian story about The Battle of Long Tan during the Vietnam War. Inspired by true stories she feels it is important and an important part of acting to tell stories and give voices to people who need to be heard. She is determined to give life to her characters, a fullness. Stephanie continues to push her own boundaries by participating in workshops that are outside of her comfort zone. She admires actors who are unapologetic about who they are on and off the screen such as Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence and Brie Larson. What she loves most about acting is that she gets to play for a living.
