Stephanie Morin is a painter and art historian. She was born in Vancouver, Canada. She is of French (Norman and Breton), Spanish, Hungarian, Czech and German descent. Her Father had a Ph.D in geology from McGill University and worked as a top executive responsible for foreign exploration at the Dome Placer Inc. The first four years of her life Stephanie Morin grew in Lisbon, Portugal. Then she returned to Vancouver where she attended Isaac Newton High School, Peter Aspel School of Art, and later graduated in English & American Literature from the University of British Columbia. In 1987 she moved to Italy where she had a career as a painter and also graduated from the European Institute of Design in Rome, and obtained an MA in International Communication (the field of Art History) from the University of Tuscia. She is now (2022) concluding her Doctoral Dissertation on Art and Politics in Italy, at the School of Cultural Analysis, University of Amsterdam. Stephanie Morin lives in Italy with he husband, anthropologist, poet-novelist Michael Korovkin, and her son, actor Justin Korovkin.
