Mayuri Bhandari

Born in Jersey, raised in Vegas, and closely in touch with her heritage, Mayuri is an actress of East Indian descent. She is known as an 'Indian Esmerelda' - a performer with a warrior spirit. Mayuri's background lies in the Arts and in the Bollywood industry; she is a National level Figure Skating Champion, an Indian Dance star, a Co-Founder of BollyX Fitness, Miss India Global 2015, and a strong advocate of Artivism (for environment, animals, humanities). She received her B.A. from UC Berkeley in Dance and her M.A. from LMU in Yoga Studies with an acting pursuit. Mayuri has appeared in numerous television & theatrical shows, notably "Dave" on (FOX), "Dare to Dance" India (Star Plus), & Netflix Animation (VO). She was a top finalist for NBC's "UCP Flip the Script", and has played leading roles in various films, including "Nightingale". Through her philosophy background and poetry, she creates & engages in works with a powerful social message. Mayuri voices a vegan way of life (beyond diet), women's empowerment, and stories of brown experience and history. She is a part of Prison Yoga + Meditation and engages with various communities through dance. Mayuri founded 'Moksha... Liberation through Movement' and teaches dance therapy to disabled children in small town schools in India. In addition to various national commercials and working with several Hindi film actors, Mayuri seeks to be a part of authentic stories of the South Asian Diaspora & marginalized groups/species in genres of Action, Drama, & Comedy. She is fluent in numerous languages, including Hindi, Marwari, Urdu, & Marathi.
