Born on 11 August 1977 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Robin Clegg is a retired biathlete. His career began with cross-country skiing at the age of 2 and competitively at the age of 7. Eventually Clegg switched to biathlon.His first year in the sport was 1995 and he made his World Cup debut in 1999. In 1997 Clegg was the Junior National Biathlon Champion. He competed in three Olympic Games - in 2002, 2006 and 2010. His best result from all Games is 10th place with the relay team in 2010 in Vancouver. His personal best result was 28th position in the 20 km Individual event in 2002 in Salt Lake City. He was the only Canadian biathlete who represented his country in 2002. Clegg competed in 10 World Championships during his career from 1999 until 2009. His best result was mostly with the relay time as they finished twice 14th in 2005 in Khanty-Mansiysk and in 2007 in Antholz-Anterselva. His personal best performance from all World Championships is 18th in the 20 km Individual in 2004 in Oberhof. Robin Clegg's best World Cup result was when he finished in the Top 10, at 8th place in the Individual in 2007-2008 season in Pokljuka. His best overall finish is at number 52 in 2003-2004. After the 2010 Vancouver Olympics which were his last, Clegg announced his retirement.
