Malakai Sam

Malakai is Ktunaxa, Haudenosaunee and Italian on his mothers' side, and Nlaka'pamux, Okanagan and Shuswap on his fathers' side. He was born in Kamloops British Columbia. He grew up in Prince George, Merritt, and Vancouver and resides in Cranbrook BC--in Ktunaxa homelands. He is active in Ktunaxa traditions and cultural expressions including hunting and dance. He is an avid outdoors person having experience white water rafting, rock climbing, swimming, camping and hiking. He is a beginner horse rider, and Ktunaxa language learner. He has 3 years of formal parkour training, and played lacrosse for Vancouver Burrards. He enjoys movie production and processes, story telling and traditional games.
