Indrek Tobreluts was born on 5 April 1976 in Tartu, Estonia. He is a former biathlete. His first year in biathlon was 1986 and he made his World Cup debut on 19 January 1995. During his long career, Tobreluts competed in five Winter Olympic Games from 1998 in Nagano until 2014 in Sochi. His best results from all Games are with the relay team - 11th in 2002 in Salt Lake City and 13th in 1998 in Nagano. His best personal position is 29th in the 20 km Individual event in 2014 in Sochi. Like his teammate and compatriot Roland Lessing, Tobreluts participated in 15 World Championships during his career. His best achievement was coming 9th in the relay at the 2003 World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk. As for his individual best performance - 17th in the sprint in 2000 in Holmenkollen and 18th in the same discipline in 2003 in Khanty-Mansyisk. On a World Cup level, Tobreluts made a fabulous 5th place in the sprint in Pokljuka in 2003-2004. Also a 9th position in the sprint in Lahti in 2002-2003 and a 10th place in the sprint in Holmenkollen in 2001-2002. Tobreluts came twice 12th in the pursuit in Pokljuka in 2003-2004 and in the sprint in Holmenkollen in 2000-2001. Once he was 13th in the mass start in Pokljuka in 2003-2004. After such a long run and being 21 seasons in the sport, on 14 January 2016 Tobreluts announced his retirement after an injury.
