Raphael van Oostrum

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California Raphael tried his best to avoid film making. It didn't work, he's pretty good at it and he loves it more than anything. It does the one thing he loves most, it brings him closer to the people in the world. He studied Cinematography in Brussels, Belgium for about 4 years. He didn't like it all that much there. However, he does believe his time in Europe gave him a perspective that only helped with his communications skills in film making. Having to translate everything about film he had already learned into the Dutch language and working environment put film into simple terms (sort of?) something Raphael never thought was possible. That was two years ago now, the lessons keep coming in every week. There is always a new way to do something...
