Salma Azzam

Salma Azzam was born in Washington D.C. Since childhood, she loved watching movies and decided to study study the craft and become a movies director. At the age of 18 she graduated a One Year Film Making course at New York Film Academy, Abu Dhabi - UAE. Her short Thesis Film "Life's notes" Written, Directed and Edited by her. Earned her a place in the Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival 69. Salma was only 18 years old when she hit her first Cannes Film Festival red carpet year 2016. Salma grew to love the craft that she decided to continue her study in film making. She's also studying for a Bachelor Degree in Film Directing at the School of Audio Engineering in Dubai, UAE. In parallel, Salma is also on her second year in Damascus University studying for a Bachelor degree in English Literature.
