Akeem Baisden Folkes

A native of Trinidad & Tobago who immigrated to the United States to study acting at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Akeem Baisden Folkes is poised to become a coveted actor in Hollywood. After starring in over 17 stage productions in New York, Folkes was cast in the CBS pilot Drew, a contemporary take on the title character from Carolyn Keene's beloved books. Folkes starred alongside Person of Interest's Sara Shahi, ER's Anthony Edwards and stage and screen actress Debra Monk. James Strong (Downton Abbey, Doctor Who) was at the helm of this highly anticipated pilot. When not filming, Folkes enjoys mentoring underprivileged teens and giving back to under-served communities. He lives in Los Angeles and New York. He is represented by Artistic Talent and Ginger McCartney Management.
