Stacylyn Bennett is an American actress that deftly moves between comedy and drama. She's played a wide variety of characters, from the girl next door to violent drug addict, and from terrified victim to warrior woman. She brings a sincerity, realness, humor, and warmth that is always hinting at much more beneath the surface. Miss Bennett has appeared as Sandy The Bully in the popular Disney TV show "Andi Mack" (2019), as well as Sherry The Inventor in the new comedic web series "The IP Section" (2019). Other film appearances include starring roles, such as Jessica Doran (a mother trying to track down her daughter who mysteriously disappeared) in the indie feature film "City of Salt" (2020), and another starring tour-de-force role as Maggie (a severe alcoholic struggling to save her family) in the short film "Frigid Heart" (2019). Past film appearances include "Hey Brooklyn" (winner of Best Film-Audience Choice, 2018 LDS Film Festival), "Unexpected Race" (starring Jack Black, and winner at the 2019 Scorpiousfest) and "The Loner" (part of the 2019 award-winning "WROL" series). Stacylyn is the oldest of 7 children, and grew up in a traveling military family living in 11 different states. She later moved to New York City to become a leading lady in the opera world, performing the starring roles in "Madame Butterfly" (2013), "Suor Angelica (2014)", and performing Mimi in Puccini's beloved "La Boheme" (2015). She also performed in many musicals and plays in New York City, touring with the National Tour of Terrance McNally's Tony-Award winning "MasterClass" (2000), as well as starring roles in Off- Broadway productions and showcases like "A Little Princess" (2003), and "Ironworker's Hayride" (2016). She recently moved to Utah a few years ago and started her film career. Since then she has found that her true love of acting transcends to all mediums of the art, and she brings a wealth of skill and experience to all she performs. Stacylyn first studied acting at the young age of 12 years old with the powerfully gifted, old-time Vaudeville actress Audra Moss. From there she performed her first live stage performance with "Fiddler On The Roof" as Bielka, earning her first Best Actress Nomination from the Utah Actors Theater Guild. Her next big movement was to the Big Apple - Manhattan to study and perform Opera. There she worked with great masters like Kiri Te Kanawa, Cornelius Reid, Charles Riecker, and Valentin Peytchinov. After returning to Utah to spend time with her family, she studied under master actors like Michael Flynn, Rob Diamond, Richard Hatch, and the wonderfully inspiring Glenn Morshower, to whom she is eternally grateful. Stacylyn Bennett lives in Utah and is represented by the Talent Management Group (TMG).
