Ifeanyi Ezieme is a 24-year-old Nigerian-American filmmaker from Pasadena, California. He first picked up the camera at age nine and it was love at first sight. Obsessed with film, he'd asked his school teachers if he could make videos instead of book reports - many of them were open to the idea which lead Ifeanyi to familiarize himself with filming and editing at a young age. His drive continued in high school where he balanced film with sports, student government, and band. When it came time to apply to colleges, Ifeanyi received the Posse Foundation Scholarship for Pepperdine University (a full-tuition scholarship given to students who demonstrate outstanding leadership). During his time at Pepperdine, Ifeanyi would begin submitting his short films to festivals as early as his freshman year. By the time he was a junior, he wrote & directed his first major short film called "Focus," a film that would later go on to sweep every award at the 'Reel Stories Film Festival' in February of 2019 (Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, & Audience Choice Award). Ifeanyi directed a total of 8 films as an undergraduate before graduating with a BA in Media Production in April of 2019. Ifeanyi is currently pursuing his MFA at the USC School of Cinematic Arts with hopes of continuing the momentum.
