Jean Pierre Augustin

Jean-Pierre "Kid Creole" Augustin is a Haitian-American professional boxer and has appeared in multiple feature-length films. He has held both the WBO and IBF North American heavyweight titles amassing a professional record of 17 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw. JP Augustin grew up in Boston, MA where he moved with his family shortly after being born in Au-Cayes, Haiti. Idolizing boxing legends such as Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, and Jack Johnson, he took up the sport when he was 12 and had his first bout at 14. Augustin became Regional Golden Gloves Champion and State PAL Champion later collecting an amateur record of 56 - 12. He earned a spot on the 2011 Pan American Team and represented Haiti in the 2012 Olympic Trials. Originally set for September 2013 and after having multiple dates fall out, Augustin finally made his pro debut on February 8, 2014 defeating Michael Davis over four rounds. On his way to becoming the WBO and IBF North American Champion, Augustin went undefeated over 18 bouts with one draw before taking his first loss in 2019. In 2016 Augustin stepped out of the ring and onto the silver screen playing Gilbert Dele in Bleed for This and going to appear in the films Heart, Baby! and Vault.
