An award-winning director and University of New Haven Alum, Chris Schnabel has never shied away from the spotlight. Since getting to New Haven, he has made a major impact on the universities broadcasts. He was the director, producer, writer and editor for the campus talk show "UNH Late Night Charge". He also went on to host and co-host the show for a couple episodes. Chris also had one of the top student radio shows on WNHU, the college radio station, where he worked with names such as Rev Run, Jalen Rose, Hannibal Buress, Verine White of Earth, Wind and Fire, Waka Flocka Flame and Mobb Deep, to name a few. He was also promoted to host of the number one show on WNHU "The UNHStable" because of his radio show. Sports are his specialty. He was the lead play-caller for the New Haven athletic programs in his time there. He also won a student award for excellence as a director for the live football broadcasts. In 2015 he produced and directed his first film, a documentary named "Off Stage". The Film starred young rap artist Damon StCloud and the film premiered on June 4th, 2016, on his 23rd birthday. In the summer of 2014, he worked for the Hudson Valley Renegades, the minor league team for the Tampa Bay Rays where he got an inside look at how the show is run. Chris also worked as the sports editor for the UNH Charger Bulletin, the UNH campus newspaper, and covered all University of Florida sports from spring 2011-fall 2012. In his time at Florida, he got picked to do an exclusive 1-1 interview with current Houston Astros outfielder Preston Tucker and also interviewed the third overall pick in the 2012 MLB draft, Mike Zunino. In 2016 Chris landed jobs with both the Boston Red Sox and Harvard University. He is also working on an Off Stage: Last Reach, which premiered in June 2017 and has made it to multiple film festivals.
