Nekia Renee

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Nekia Renee enjoyed movies and television so much that she would reenact them for her family and friends. Picking up on accents became so comfortable for her that it was only natural that acting classes soon followed. Nekia's passion for acting led to her earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Hunter College in 2009. In order to continue her growth as an actor, Nekia studied at the Stella Adler studio of acting soon after. Auditioning for theatre projects in New York City sparked Nekia's interest in what may be possible for her in film and television. In 2013 with the support and encouragement from her family and friends, she packed up her belongings and drove cross country to Los Angeles. Nekia is continuing to follow her dreams of working in film and television. She has since landed the lead role in two student films directed at USC and LACC. She has also lent her words regarding her experience as an actor in Los Angeles to a popular website. In between auditioning, Nekia is learning Spanish to broaden her communication and maybe be cast in a telenovela! Nekia is on a journey that she is navigating with her talent, her drive, faith and love from her family and friends.
