Giles Abbott took his first degree in English Language & Literature from Oxford University. Four years later he suffered serious sight loss and, although he retains enough sight to appear to make eye-contact, to hit a mark, to walk through a crowd, he is registered blind. Losing access to written word Giles turned to traditional storytelling & voice teaching (MAVS Central School Of Speech & Drama 2004-5). He is a professional storyteller & performs to audiences of children, families, adults in locations as diverse as theatres, museums, schools, Universities, cemeteries, boats, pubs and cafes all around the UK, also touring in Netherlands, Germany, Egypt, India & more. Giles has written & toured a number of Arts Council-funded storytelling shows.
