A native of the greater Los Angeles area, Heather began writing at the age of ten with encouragement from her grandmother, also a writer. Heather wrote her first teleplay at age 12 and a short novel, The Weekend, at age 13 with writing partner, Francesca Macelli. She followed with a one act play at 16, and published poems and essays in literary magazines throughout her teens and twenties. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Northern Arizona University in 2000. She continued her writing career after college, writing journal articles for Pop Rocket Magazine and blogging, but creative writing has always been Heather's passion. When Macelli, her longtime writing partner, called her in early 2016 to talk about a project that she was developing for television with her production company, Unfiltered Dreams Productions, Heather jumped at the chance. She co-wrote and co-produced 12 episodes of the television series, SINS, starring Henry Czerny, Danielle Campbell, Nathan Parsons, and Jackson Rathbone. Heather grew up splitting her time between southern California and her family's cattle ranch in the tiny central California town of Badger. She is a proud Air Force wife and mother, spends a great deal of time with her family in Park City, Utah and is a country girl at heart. She spends as much time as possible in nature.
