J.A. Popovec started acting at the age of 12. She quickly fell in love with all areas of theatrical production. She studied acting in-depth with esteemed college instructors, which included the topics of Movement, Shakespeare, and sword & shield training, before discovering her love for filmmaking. Her first commercial job was for P&G as a Head & Shoulders principal. J.A. joined SAG/AFTRA shortly after working on "Man on the Moon", "The Magnificent Seven", "Star Trek - Deep Space 9", and "Melrose Place", among many others. In her career, Popovec has worked on 35 stage productions and more than 30 Film / TV / Commercial projects. She left in 2001 to finish her college degree in Professional Writing & Editing, with minors in Speech, Communications, and Theater. With this combo, she was brought on board to ghostwrite books. Having discovered her high-level skill in learning unfamiliar content and structuring it for large audiences, Popovec would communicate it out to a global environment: In 2011, Popovec accepted a position as a Lead Corporate Trainer of IT Communications for Coca-Cola, where she created, oversaw and delivered/performed a corporate training program which supported staff worldwide. Popovec's attention to detail and understanding of audience needs resulted in a 75% ROI one month after roll-out. Popovec then filled the demanding role of Senior Corporate Trainer at AT&T, where she provided training on the entire Video Production process for an online university. Her responsibilities spanned inception to distribution management, and technical production (research, writing, directing, cinematography, audio engineering, editing, and animation). Popovec was then selected to lead and orchestrate the first ever worldwide corporate video-email campaign. To complete this, Popovec became a company liaison, writing radio-show style scripts for 17 presenters (200 pages), and leading the production team to a completed project. This epic challenge was again completed with great reviews and numerous commendations. This assignment helped her to segue back to her original passion, film acting and writing. In February of 2016, Popovec re-prioritized and put her passions for storytelling back to the No. 1 spot in her life. She returned to join the entertainment industry again, when she was quickly reminded by a friend of the story she'd been wanting to tell for decades, but put aside to earn a steady income in Corporate America. Popovec has since begun creating her passion project, an epic fantasy collection, called Tritainas Reign. Her ultimate goal is to balance acting and modeling with writing stories of Tritania's Reign (for readers).
